Check it out. And CONGRATULATIONS to Jordan Miller and Zips Gold Copykat at the Ft. Worth Stock Show! They won the 13 & Under High Point and the All-Age Youth High Point. Fantastic start to the year, I'd say. Also, CONGRATULATIONS to Jordan Bolger and her sorrel filly (can't remember her name. . .) on several GRAND CHAMPION MARE awards at the Tulsa Holiday Quarter Horse Show. On another off-color horse was Amelia Crites- taking home many first-place ribbons on her new horse Divine Playboy. Way to go girls! If you have any other news of interest, please send it to cristin@lopeover.com. Stay warm- See you at the banquet! More OPEA News . . . Elizabeth Logan's recently purchased three year old Yella Fella Stallion, Strawtown Gold Fella won the Open Color and stood Reserve Champion Stallion at Fort Worth. Sally Sullivan's Yella Pages won the Amateur Color, Amateur Halter Stallions, and stood Grand Champion Stallion at Fort Worth. Sally Sullivan recently sold her two year old Yella Fella stallion to Joanie Goodsell of Queensbury, N.Y. This colt, "An Obvious Fella" is being trained by Garret Jacobs of Ohio and is being aimed at qualifying for the Select World as well as the 2007 Congress in Columbus, Ohio. Joanie purchased PHBA multiple World Champion Designated Cowboy from Sally three years ago and has earned his AQHA Superiors in Open and Amateur. Sally also has sold her World Champion mare, Creatively, to Bob Hurst of Kearney, Mo. This 2002 mare, who won the Go For The Gold Yearling Mare Futurity in 2003, is due to foal in mid February to Sally's stallion, Yella Pages. Creatively's 2006 filly, Touched By A Secret, placed third in the open division of Go For The Gold Futurity and is now owned by Sandy Matthews of Houston. Sandy Bendele won the Reserve Select High Point at the Ft. Worth Stock Show. 1-20-2007 Round two of winter weather is falling as we surf the web for lack of better things to do. Please stay warm! I must apologise to our great friends in Arkansas on omitting the "A-OK" part from the Spring Show- It was just an oversight, not at all on purpose. Postcards will be sent out for the banquet next week. We had to make certain that all of the specifics were not going to change. For those of you who are on the ball, you can contact Cyndi for your RSVP ahead of time via this email address: cynthiaacox@aol.com. Prices for tickets will be on the postcard, but I know that Suzi is catering, so the cost of food will be worth it! Any additions to the website can be directed to Cristin at cristin@lopeover.com. It's cold outside, so a lot of updating can be done. 1-17-07 I hope everyone is weathering the storms brought to us this January. Welcome 2007! At least the ticks won't be so bad this year. The 2007 Show Schedule is posted. Either click here or use the navbar Showing. The banquet is scheduled for February 24, at 6:00 p.m. at the Scottish Rite building at 41st and Sheridan. Check back for a good map so you don't blame me on getting lost. The youth are planning on having a meeting before the banquet, so keep that in mind. They will be discussing the World Show. Everyone is welcome to help with stall decorations you know!!
