Meet Sally Sullivan 1. I'm Sally Sullivan, early sixties......... 2. My immediate family consists of my much-appreciated tolerant husband Jim, a non-horse-person, a frisky Yorkie named "Rowdy" and a loving Standard Poodle named "Me Too." Jim comes occasionally to the shows but he prefers golf to horses. I have a great older brother and sister-in-law who live in Kansas City and Lexington, Ky, who go horses via the American Saddlebred route. Plus, they have a son, daughter-in-law, and grand baby girl in Kansas City, so we all have great hopes that this horsy thing we have will filter down to Nicole..... but so far at age three she isn't interested. My sister-in-law and I were avid horsewomen before we could walk........... so we are holding our breath that Nicole is jut a late starter!!!!
Oh, I can't forget to mention my Jim's daughter, Kathleen Sullivan, who lives in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and travels the country, who is a horsewoman who trains people and horses to get along with one another. She was a long time Pat Parelli instructor who has gone on her own. Incidentally, she does her exhibitions riding a palomino gelding!!!
3. To support my own little group of four-footed friends with hooves, who all reside at the Longacres, I enjoy a Kitchen and Bath business located on South Lewis where we design and sell Kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundries, Studies, Furniture Pieces, Offices, etc. I have been doing this great work for nearly thirty years--- here in Oklahoma and in about twenty other states. Heck! Fun is Fun! Why limit it to the state border!!! It's the challenge of the project that ignites my imagination!!! It never seems like work! 4. Something that a lot of people don't know about me is that I'm extremely allergic to shedding animals....... especially horses!!!! And grass, hay, dirt, dust, mold, etc!!!! That's why I can never keep them at home! Thank goodness for Nikki and Keith!!! I can enjoy them with some medication and frequent hand washings!!! Whatever I have to do to enjoy my love for horses, I do! I started this fascination with horses at less than a year of age, have had over 100 horses in my lifetime, so I guess I'm not about to take up some other interest now!!! Confucius said that "The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man," and I do so agree!!!
